Emily Solo is a crossover singer and actress whose work spans opera, musicals, plays, and film. Praised for her “expressive soprano” (South Florida Classical Review), “movie star glamour” (CT Critics Circle), and “magnetic” voice (OperaWire), she was nominated for a BroadwayWorld Award for Best Supporting Performer in a Play for her “exceptional” portrayal of Sophie in Master Class at Music Theatre of Connecticut.

A passionate advocate for contemporary opera and new theatrical works, Emily has developed and originated roles in multiple world premieres, including Tommie in TESLA (SoBe Arts), The Wasp Queen in Vespa (Old Stone House of Brooklyn), and Najeen in The Artwork of the Future (Fresh Squeezed Opera/HERE), which was hailed as “wildly imaginative” by Opera News.
